Brief.

A seat concept for IDUS 225, Visualizing Ideas.

Thumbnail sketches. Ten sheets of fast ideas.

Sofas, chairs and benches first, then folded seats and bucket-seat silhouettes.

Drawing fast

Thumbnails kept the drawing quick and cheap, so I could throw most of them away. The first sheets are sofas, chairs and benches. Later ones move to folded benches, storage cubes and bucket-seat silhouettes.

Two directions. Pencil volumes, then marker seats.

Two ways to draw the seat

The pencil sheets explore seat shells, a wood sample and sofa volumes. The marker sheets move to a purple lounge, a red and grey bucket seat with wood and blue parts, a green structure study and a refined red sport seat with an armrest.
